Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS) World Finals will take place in DreamHack Stockholm later this year.
The tournament will see top teams from each region — EMEA, North America (NA), Korea, China, and Asia Japan/Pacific — battle it out from November 26th to 30th, 2025.
Across five days of competition, the first two will take place in a studio. The last three will see teams go head to head in the Stockholmsmässan venue in Stockholm, Sweden.
The number of teams competing is larger than the previous year’s World Finals, with 12 teams in total instead of eight. Three slots have been delegated to EMEA, Korea, and NA, each based on the Mid-Season Championship results. Two are filled by China, and one is available for Asia Japan/Pacific to battle for. The format and seeding order will be shared closer to the event.
The top teams qualifying for the tournament will be based on the OWCS Stage 3 results, which will feature a regular season, promotion and relegation, and regional playoffs.
Anyone can view the OWCS World Finals with a standard DreamHack Stockholm ticket, where they can watch the matches unfold live and on-site from the limited number of free seats available.
Add-ons for the OWCS World Finals are currently available on DreamHack’s official website for those wishing to guarantee a seat, with five tiers available. These range from one-day seating to VIP passes, which include in-game incentives, meet and greet fast tracks, behind-the-scenes tour and more.
The event will also have co-streams enabled for watch parties, with specifics for co-streaming policies to be shared sometime soon.
Other Esports Events in DreamHack Stockholm
DreamHack Stockholm will also see other esports tournaments for attendees to enjoy. These include the THE FINALS hosting its first-ever Major, and the DreamHack Knockout LAN event for Counter-Strike 2.
Overwatch 2 will also be featured as one of the Freeplay PC experiences for visitors to enjoy outside of the OWCS World Finals, alongside other esports titles such as League of Legends, VALORANT, Marvel Rivals and more.
